GlycoCheck Scan

$300.00

GlycoCheck is a non-invasive test that evaluates the endothelial glycocalyx, the thin polysaccharide and gel coating inside your blood vessels, acting as a protective barrier for the arterial and capillary walls. The Glycocheck machine uses a video microscope camera placed under the tongue. It evaluates your microvascular system to the smallest capillaries and reflects your entire body’s vascular health. If your Microvascular Health Score is less than 5 (the scale goes from 1-10), we have therapies that can dramatically improve your score and maximize your microvascular blood flow to all your tissues and organs. You deserve to have your GlycoCheck scan interpreted by a Board Certified Cardiologist, Mark Gordon, MD, FACC.

What is the GlycoCheck test?

GlycoCheck is an FDA-registered Class 1 medical device. It is a non-invasive test that evaluates the endothelial glycocalyx, the thin polysaccharide and gel coating inside your blood vessels, acting as a protective barrier for the arterial and capillary walls. The Glycocheck machine uses a video microscope camera placed under the tongue. It evaluates your microvascular system to the smallest capillaries and reflects your entire body’s vascular health. The video microscope shows the live movement of your red blood cells as they travel through your microscopic blood vessels. Research confirms that under-the-tongue measurements indicate the health of the entire vascular system, which supplies nutrients and oxygen to organs such as the brain, eyes, heart, kidneys, and all others.

The test can be performed in any of our offices with adequate advance notice. The test takes around 20 – 30 minutes. The interpretation by Dr. Gordon will include the results and recommendations. You will receive an overall MicroVascular Health Score (MVHS) and an assessment of capillary density. Many health conditions adversely affect the capillary density and can damage the endothelial glycocalyx. Some of these health conditions include diabetes, smoking, high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, long-haul COVID-19, sepsis, cancer, kidney disease, inflammatory conditions, stroke, and others.

After completing the Gycocheck test, an optional detailed cardiovascular assessment is available to examine your test results, health history, and recommendations in more depth with Dr. Gordon.
